Zeeuwse Creuses from DZM


Crassostrea gigas is the Latin name for the Pacific Oyster also known as the Creuse. Much appreciated straight from the shell but also very delicious au gratin.


Our oysters are cultivated on  Grevelingen and  Oosterschelde, fished with our modern ship YE117 “Den Breeën” and processed in our factory in Bruinisse. This delicacy  finds its way to many destinations in Europe and far beyond.

Farming area

Our Zealand Creuses are grown in Oosterschelde and  Grevelingen. The temperature, purity and salinity of the water, the soil and the sheltered location make these two areas the ideal place for oyster farming. Each with its own taste palette.
